Why chose Tretinoin versus niacinamide?

Tretinoin is a prescription-strength retinoid that targets acne and signs of aging.
Niacinamide is a gentle, over-the-counter vitamin B3 derivative that focuses on improving skin barrier function and reducing inflammation.
Tretinoin
- Type: Tretinoin is a form of vitamin A and belongs to the retinoid family. It is available by prescription and is often used to treat acne, fine lines, and sun damage.
- Mechanism of Action: Tretinoin works by increasing cell turnover, promoting the shedding of dead skin cells, and preventing clogged pores. This helps to reduce acne and improve skin texture.
